Any leads please ?

I have a huge and very boring issue with stencyl 2.2.
I want the player to enter a password to reach a level. Sometimes it work, but sometime this don't work. Why ? Because stencyl put strange spaces between my code block with no reason. This is random, If I put the block back in place, he will work, but the only fact I scroll on the code page may create space. Also the code may work, but if I relaunch the scene to try he may not work.

I don't know if there is a workaround for this issue ?

Thanks you.

Severity S2

Description :
Screen resolution do not match user selection. If the user want to launch the game in full screen or change the resolution and export to windows, his choices will not be in the windows build.

Repro steps :

1) Open stencyl 3.1 (build of 2/08/2014)

2) open a game

3) Change the game scale or resolution

4) Export to windows (standalone)

5) Notice scale or resolution do not match the user choice

Workaround :
Select the scale or resolution, then launch a flash test build, then export to a windows build in order to get the correct scale or resolution.

Ask a Question / Shaders not working
« on: August 02, 2014, 11:28:38 pm »

I have the last build from 02/08.
I never used shaders before so if I create an event in my scene with : "when created apply grayscale to scene" and If I publish the game for windows nothing happen.

If I create a scene behavior with the same code, when I launch my windows game I have a crash.

Where should I enter the shader code in order to work on windows please ?

Thanks you.

Thanks you, the game is just above 5mo. But we will work on a post LD version, maybe it is better for the stencyl arcade ?

I'am investigating, looks like one of my tileset used in this level is missing in the game, even if I can find it in the "ressource" folder of my game.

EDIT : fixed I had to copie the level from a old save and make all the modifications again.

Without help, I think there is a lot of work, i'm not sure how the conversion work, but when I see errors on the jump behavior,  I think I will need to fix a code I didn't do, and this is for one actor, I have more than 250 actors in the game :/. And it took me 2 hours only to open the game with stencyl 3. So I am note very positive about that. But once again Stencyl 3 looks promising and ultimately I will love to switch for it.

Yep we did look into 3.0 and we got a lot of errors everywhere (even in the basic jump behavior) so as far as I understand, I will need to basically code all the game again. But of course we will love to get on stencyl 3 I'm just afraid it's several month of work I really can't spend on the game.

Hello my code level is very low, that's why we choose stencyl in the first place :).

PS : we work with Stencyl 2.2.
