Ask a Question / Load Image from URL - huge lag
« on: December 21, 2014, 05:50:13 pm »
Hi everyone,

Does anyone else face a this enormous lag when loading a few images from a url? (eg. facebook profile pics)
when i load the image the game completely stops till the images are loaded then it goes on.. this is frankly unacceptable
is there a way to make it not affect the game and not make it lag?

thanks!

Hey,

I need to create an extension, but inside I am required to get hold of the currentViewController..
I am not so familiar with how openfl works.. but would this do?
[[UIApplication sharedApplication] keyWindow].rootViewController]

is this the main view of the game?

Thanks!!

Thank you so much for your advice.
setting the charset to custom and adding the characters in the font setting did it for me.
I am grateful for your help.

Hello all,

I have downloaded a ttf font that supports most types of characters including arabic and chinese, but when i set the a label text to string with Chinese characters for example, nothing appears.. only the Latin ones do.
Is there a solution for typing text in different languages?

in other words "Facebook Check if Connected" returns false each time i open the app.. so i need to call the login block each time

52
thanks for your reply george!
Well it happens both on the simulator which doesn't have the app & my iphone which has the fb app

I mean, when you try that on your iphone etc. does the user need to reconnect each time? if not then im doing something wrong :D

53
sorry for asking again.. but i've been stuck at this for 4 days with no real help from anyone so i thought i'd try one last time.

what happens is: everytime i kill the app and open it again the i am not connected to facebook anymore (ie. the session is not active).. so i "login" but then it takes me to the facebook app which tells me im already authorized.. (screenshot below)

its unacceptable to ask the user to go through this each time the app starts up.. I first want to know if this is normal (does it happen to all of you or am i doing something wrong?)
I would appreciate any feedback.. sorry for asking this a third time.. but i really wasted too much time on it  :)

Guys, I just want to know if the normal behaviour  is for the facebook session to be gone each time the app is closed.
Does the user need to login everytime? or did i do something wrong?

55
thanks for the plugin!
I have a question though, why does it ask me to login everytime the app is opened? is that the normal behaviour?

Hey guys,
I also spent a lot of time trying to implement a circular progress bar.. any ideas how you did it?

Ask a Question / Re: Help Testing on IOS
« on: March 24, 2014, 08:46:39 am »
Ok.. i found the solution for my case, i had several mistakes:
It turns out that i had to also download the developer provision profile and double click it to add it to xcode.

I also read somewhere that i should download and install xCode line command, but i'm not sure if this is what solved it or the developer provision profile.

So basically download the 3 provision profiles (2 distribution and 1 developer) and double click them.
Hope that does it for you.
Good luck
