Ask a Question / Re: "always simulate" block problem
« on: December 03, 2011, 12:43:53 pm »
i think i found the problem but i dont find a solution,  in the game, i made the scene 40 tiles height,(so is created down) the camera follows the player but my player is at the very bottom, so when the scene is not 40 tiles height (when is the default tiles height, very few tiles )and the platform is (obiously)on the screen , the platform works but when the screen is 40 tiles height  and my player is at the bottom and the camera is following him and the platform is on screen it doesnt works, if i put a platform on the upper part of the screen and the camera is there with it, it works :-X i hope im clear lol.

Ask a Question / "always simulate" block problem

i made an actor that is a platform that moves up and down , but on design behavior if i put on  "when created" -  "make self always simulate" everything works fine, but when i dont put "make self always simulate" the platform doesnt move EVEN WHEN IS ON SCREEN why?
what i want to do is that the platform works when is on screen and not work when is outside of the screen

Ask a Question / whats the purpose of "actor" atribute
« on: November 27, 2011, 08:19:49 pm »
i mean, when i make an  "actor" atribute on the palette i cant chose any actor for it, like for example "actor type" i can give an actual actor to it but not for "actor", so what is for?

i edited the message it was not clear... help

first when i make a tile i make it 64 x 64 so i choose retina 2x so it becomes smaller 32x 32 i think, and then i go to the scene and place the  tiles  but when i place them they are not 32x32 they are still big 64x64, but when i test the game theyre now small again with lots of space betwen them :-[

Ask a Question / why an actor dissapears if it semi-leaves the screen
« on: November 16, 2011, 06:29:03 pm »
the actor doesnt leaves the screen completly because there is space on the screen its just that the screen size (web) is smaller than the scene screen size, im not sure if im being clear. so if i have this actor (is not the player so i dont want the camera follow him) and i send him fly upwards he does not return! and there is still room on the scene but like i said the screen size (web) is smaller

i think i figured it out it was very easy lol, i just made another behavior for the other "power" (the one that is going to make fly) and told it to "when this collides with something else"  "push last collided actor to y force...etc"
thanks anyway!

i dont get it at all, how do i use it? i mean in which way

Ask a Question / how do i make a specific actor colides with another actor
« on: November 16, 2011, 03:08:20 pm »
in the design mode , in collisions you can chose "if the top was hit" "if the bottom was hit" etc, and "if this actor hits an actor" but i want to chose an SPECIFIC actor that hits another actor, what i want to do is that for example if you hit a guy on the right part of him he flies out to the left and if you hit him with another "power" in the same part (right) he flies out to the top  so i think i need to specific another actor to do this.....what can i do.....

sorry for my english
