Thank you, I made it so that it kills the actor after the boolean has been changed that worked.

i thought the same thing also JefferyDriver.. but its not doing anything to the actor.. its setting a boolean to false.. so should be fine id guess...unless it kills self and doesnt execute the do after code?  or would killing self not effect the do after code?try putting the kill self code after the do after so many seconds?
this is  the enemy actors code?
also what does the frozen boolean affect?

The boolean changes the animation of the player to have the enemy on his head and the walking, jumping, etc only works if frozen is false.

I guess that because your actor is killed, the 'do after' event isn't run.

I tried hiding the actor and killing him after but it still didn't work.

I am trying to create an enemy that will come towards you and when it touches you it would kill the enemy actor and change the animation of the player to have it on their head and they can't move. This works fine except I want the player to go back to normal after a few seconds but the do after _ seconds tile isn't working. But if I was to not use that tile and just have the player instantly go back to normal after being paralyzed it works and the player is free to move so it seems to be a problem with the countdown itself. I put my code in the attachments. Thank you in advance.

I am trying to have a certain enemy in my platformer shoot the player but the bullet doesn't follow them. Is there a good way to do this? Everything I try doesn't work

in the backgrounds... there is a prallax scroll you can adjust .. have it auto scroll... or move it another way.. i forget the verbage thats used in stencyl as i am away from my laptop... look at my game and see how the tree background scrolls along with the owl player actor.. is that what you want?

It could totally look like that but when I try to use paralax scrolling it zooms in dramatically on my background with my characters. And awesome game by the way.

I am trying to create a background for certain levels in my platformer and I want it to repeat horizontally and not vertically is there a way I can just have it repeat horizontally and scale to fit the whole level? I attached the background image file. Thank you in advance.

I am making a game that has a sprite do an animation where it stretches out. But for some reason, in the game it cuts off part of the character when doing the animation. Please help. Thank you in advance.

Send it to Jon, with a full rundown of the problem. I would say your problem is with data.xml, but do so in case.

Go to the game's settings, reapply a name to it, then save it. When you close it, a duplicate is made out of the new name of the game. If you can't do that, edit the game's folder to include your folder and not the other.
Now it says could not load game due to corrupt or incomplete resource listing (data.xml) stencyl will attempt to restore listing from backup (data.xml.bak).

Oh, I see. You pasted old folder info into a duplicate folder you can't make it detect. Can you reapply its name from within the editor? It can duplicate it without the problem. If not, you might need to change the folder's info, the next time you do that.
How would I do that exactly?

By the way this happened when I went into a duplicate of my game I had created a while ago by copying and pasting the game files into the games folder so there were two. This was my first time going onto it in a while since I wound up never using the duplicate. When I went into it it had the name of the actual game and not the duplicate name.  Also the new graphics that I added for the game where there even though I made the duplicate before I implemented those, and all of the actors, scenes, and behaviors from the game that weren't in the duplicate weren't there. For some reason after I went into the duplicate and went back out no matter if I go into the actual game or the duplicate it brings me to that same thing.

You did correct by posting in here. Did you close all the running files from Stencyl before switching to it?
Yes I did, that was the only thing open.
