What is the best way to do the HUD when the screen moves?

I have a simple HUD, but it has images.

Top left will be 3 grey stars, and as you collect the stars through the level each one will turn gold. And on the top right, there will be a restart button and pause button.

Can anyone help? Thanks

What is the best way to draw an image as a score. Like this,

I have 3 stars in each level, and you have to collect them. At the top of the screen there is 3 greyed out stars, and when you collect one, the first star will change to the gold star which I have the image for.

I have a problem.

I'd been working on a code to get a ball to change direction on collision. I had it perfect, I saved my work often. Then I got a error message saying, "some files could not be saved, close the game and reopen" when I was saving it.

So I closed the game and reopened it, but it now doesn't open properly and just shows a grey screen, no Game Center or anything.

Since then I've spent 6 hours trying to recode that behavior and I cant get it right. So frustrating.

I still have the design file's from the code that worked, but I cant open it. Can anyone from the stencyl team get my code from the design files?

I've been playing with the physics settings but I can not get the result I want.

I have blocks four blocks set in a square with 45deg angles facing the inside. I have a ball that hits the 45deg, shoots off and hits the next block. So the ball should continusly bounce round in a square motion.

However, after 3 or 4 hits, the ball starts to go off course and fails.

I've tried all kinds of physics settings with the ball and blocks but can't get it to stay on course.

Thanks Hectate, option 3 worked. Just wondering if it'll work with iOS.

I have 2 actions for the mouse/touch on 1 actor, and I can't get just 1 action to happen without the second action happening.

What I have is an actor that can be dragged along the x axis and also turns 90 degs when clicked/touched.

How can I get the actor to only move when I click and holding, and only turn when pressed?


That had worked a treat. Thank you, it was simple maths really.

Hi there,

I have a behavior that allows me for grab an actor with the mouse and move it along the X axis. I'm not sure how to code it so I can only move that actor a specific amount of pixels.

Can anybody help?
