Fixed Bugs (3.x) / Error: couldnt create block from xml tag

Hey!

Since i upgraded to the newest private version (build 8140), i cannot build any game (even a newly created one in the latest version of stencyl). I get the following error, around 100x

Code: [Select]
Level:     ERROR
When:      2015-02-03 20:42:22:500
From:      stencyl.sw.editors.snippet.designer.Group

Couldn't create block from xml tag: dolater
Couldn't create block from xml tag: if
Couldn't create block from xml tag: load-game
etc etc etc

I also get the error when using the "safe" version, under the red text on download page.

When using the older version (just installing it ontop of the current installation) everything works (build 8059).

Any idea what could be wrong?

AdMob / Re: [iOS & Android] AdMob Extension [3.0]

Hey guys,
I've tried using the extension with my app, but it crashes or does not show any ads.
What I did: added Initialize AdMob smart banner & fullscreen blocks in the starting screen, added Show Admob banner to the menu of the game, added load admob fullscreen ad to the actual game scene and show admob fullscreen ad to game over screen. I assume i did everything correctly.
What happens: When I run my game, with the block Initialize AdMob smart banner, it crashes. It also crashes when i want to load a fullscreen ad. When I want to show banner ads, they don't load at all.
Any idea what could be wrong?

Sorry for the late response,
I cleaned the project, cleaned up unused files, deleted, resterted Stencyl and readded the attribute (using the same name and keys).
But still, i get the same error as before. I have no idea what else would produce the error.

Thanks, i was looking in code preview in stencyl, and the line numbers are messed up there.

I still dont know what could be wrong with my code 0.o

There is no error on Android.  The only thing that I changed in my code since the previous version that worked perfectly was that i reworked some code to make use of maps (attributes).

Any ideas why i have this error?

I have the same problem... i went to settings - extensions and install extension. The folders for nuggeta extension are created in C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Stencyl\stencylworks\engine-extensions\Nuggeta_2014_09_20\nuggeta
ut i cannot see the extension in the settings-extensions dialog. Am i doing anything wrong?

I've thought about moving car only 1 lane at a time. I will have to try your suggestion, to see if i can still get scores of 500+. I also dont know if i should remove the 3 buttons completely and have the car move left/right when you press the left/right half of the screen?

I am using scale to fit i think, i have tried other modes but they dont look as good on cheaper devices (especially the ones that dont have 16:9 aspect ratio).
I want to integrate google play leaderboards and achievements, but i am still working on it (i dont have sufficent knowledge at the moment, becase im still a student... so i am progerssing slowly.)

I have drastically updated the game:
Refined art, added more animations, added more sound effects, got rid of bugs etc, etc.
The game currently has 205 downloads. I've done no advertising or any similar things. The only thing i've done is posted the game on some facebook groups.

I can answer to some of your questions:
4: android performance is mostly 60fps (even on lower end devices). If you have too many actors that can collide on screen the fps can go down drastically, but i fixed this problem with custom collision code, and now i can have hundreds without performance issues.
7: you just click on publish - and select where you want to export, thats it!
8: as far as i know, there is no limitations

Highway Dodger is a fresh fast-paced game, where you have to dodge all cars that rush in your way.
Difficulty in the game increases as you play, making the challenge harder with every car that passes by.
