Chit-Chat / Re: Stencyl is still too difficult to use
« on: August 22, 2012, 02:25:21 pm »
You're kidding me right? would you like me to write you something that does that?

No i am not kidding. Going to make an animated figure for putting it on a website. Will make it together with my son. It should be able to make simple conversations like

'Hallo i am fluffy" "Do you wanna play?" "Can i be you friend?"

Of course we will make it in dutch....the language of the website...

We will make it understand basic answers and make it react on it.

We will animate the figure so you will see if it is happy or not.

We allready tried some basice stuff and it is perfect. This would take months on stencyl and only days with scratch.

I allready tried embedding it on a website and it works great.

fotogeluid, of course stencyl could handle something like that. off topic of stencyl, if you want an ai:

Useless none of them can speak a single word dutch  :P :P :P :P :P

I have just tried scratch....It is awesome. This is just perfect for the job. And so simple to use. You can make an actor ask a question and wait for and answer...and test what the answer is.......

Wooooo so simple in scratch and such a pain in the ass in fun fun

Tell me how i can let a player type in sentences and how i can cut the sentences in words that i can use to analyze and respond.

Tell me how i can let the player open a file on his PC and how i can open this file and do read and writes.

Just examples of course....

Thank you

The countless limitations make it extremely hard to make anything. It feels like being in prison strapped on a table and not being able to move.

I have been trying out flash and it feels really liberating.

Doesn't mean i don't like stencyl. I like it a lot .....

"....I was very excited, but in this community who know the most are the least they share...."
I totally agree with this

Yes funny no? I thought everybody should have the opportunity to collaborate. Even beginners. Boy what was i wrong. Now i know why they don't have no success.

Ok now i am looking for collaboration with somebody very successful........Just kidding. I learned my lesson about collaborators on this forum. Waist of time.

It is just me, myself and Irene.....LOl where did i here that.......

Most of the users of this forum don't seem to be serious about collaboration. They say they will work together but they after a few emails they don't even bother answering any more. Don't see them active either.

Lots of guys are underestimating the effort it takes to make a good game. They start full of energy and they burn up their fuel in a matter of days....

Just a little warning for collaboration seekers over here....

My last collaboration was with kagames. I send him a mail asking if he needed help on the 29 June. I can understand people going on holiday but this is to long to break contact....

Chit-Chat / Re: About To Quit Stencyl
« on: July 13, 2012, 04:56:59 am »
im quitting here because no one replies to my questions and im sitting here like a lost dog ! So bye Stencyl you lost a Member ! Maybe ill transition over to GAME SALAD

Wtf.....who told you you can leave like that? Did i say you can quit like that? I don't think so...

My dog at home is also waiting for me to get some attention. Does that mean i don't love him? I don't think so...

There will always be questions, for some you will get answers others will stay open forever. Screw the questions that stay open and look for alternative solutions.

You think game salad will be any better? Let me tell you this: maybe the stencyl support on the forum isn't great but trust me it is even worse on the game salad forum!

......dude come on

Ask a Question / Frame rate issues
« on: June 18, 2012, 11:14:57 am »
Weird problem with my latest game.

I got almost perfect frame rate on my PC in chrome AND internet explorer. Frame rates close to 60
(Intel E8500 dual core/8GB ram/ Nvidia 9500GT 1GB)

On 2 other PC's i see a terrible framerate and double as much memory use. Frame rate below 20 !!
(AMD Athlon QL-64/ 4GB ram/ Nvidia 9100M)
(AMD Dual Core X2 6000/2GB RAM/ Nvidia Geforce 6 128MB)

Any idea?

Windows / Mac / Flash / HTML5 / Re: New game : Claw of a zombie
« on: June 18, 2012, 10:31:06 am »
I have noticed something bad. On some computers the game plays at almost 60 frames/sec on other it has a 20 frames/sec framerate (unplayable).

My first impression is that it is terrible slow on computers with an AMD processor but i can be wrong.....

Can you guys test and tell me what system you have tried it on...

Windows / Mac / Flash / HTML5 / New game : Claw of a zombie
« on: June 17, 2012, 02:35:06 pm »
Hey guys if you have time check out my new game "Claw of a zombie"

It is a game in my typical low quality style :D. Bad graphics with terrible game play. I waisted a lot of time on this game :D.

My son can reach the 9th wave in this game!!!! I have been trying since the day i started making this game and i can't pass wave 5. What the hell i can't beat him with my own game. :'(
