I've watched the tutorials and you've got a new marker! Maybe you'll need a thinner tip maker.
Awesome tutorial as always, very detailed. Especially when explaining the X and Y origin and the formula to have each itteration spawn evenly with spacing between each buttons and to adjust the Yaxis after MaxXamount.

I've tried incorporating your grid system with your toggle page system. It works, but each time I toggle the page, the X and Y origin didn't reset and the buttons spawn lower and lower. So I've included the Set Xmulti and Ymulti to 0 block before all the code in the PlaceButtons event. Do check the attachment to see if I've done it correctly.

It works beautifully.  So basically, with this, I can create say, 9 blocks and another 9 blocks in the next page right? Coz I only have 3 buttons to play with at the moment.

As of now, I'm trying to enable toggling between pages using buttons as well besides swiping. I deleted all the codes I've entered into my Next and Back buttons as it doesn't work.

I'm still trying to get the buttons to show and kill self depending on the page number, but it still doesn't work.

Here's the file. Anyone can shed some light on it?


Oh! Ok, I understand! Are there any extensions that is similar to this, but enables developers to choose which platform to share message to? Because on my Android, there are so many apps to share to, like Messages, LinkedIn, Bluetooth (have no idea why), Wordpress, Mail etc. I wonder if it's the same for the other users but for me its too many! HAHA!


I closed and opened Stencyl and its working for Twitter. But as you indicated, it's not working for FB due to the policy. How can I set the button so that it straights away access FB instead of opening up a list of apps to share?

I'm trying to make a Next and Back button besides the swiping function. Created a game attribute Page and set it to local attribute current page. I want to create and kill the Next/Back button depending on the page that the player is on. I'm able to make a page indicator to switch frames depending on the game Page attribute, but I can't do the same for the Next/Back button.

I think it's most probably my If statement again, as well as the True and False statements.


I got the share block to show on the Free version, but the function doesn't work properly when being tested. It does open up the share option and take the screenshot, but it doesn't show the message and it doesn't auto open the URL that was indicated.

Must I upgrade to the Studio or Indie version to get it to work?

OH WTF!!! The blocks are showing! HAHA! But there's a problem,when I try to use the iOS and Android share extension, it doesn't work the way it's supposed to. Like when I click on the share button, it does open a share, but it doesn't auto choose FB and it doesn't display whatever message that was written.

Is it because mine is the Free version that's why it's not working properly?

I was informed that its probably because these private builds are meant for the Indie and Studio versions. I'll be purchasing it probably next week or so, once I got my main game functions out! It's correct right? It's only available for the Indie and Studio versions right?

Hey guys,

This is Yun Xiang, from Singapore. I'm an exclusive songwriter, composer and arranger from a major music publisher in Asia, Touch Music Publishing. Recently did a commercial jingle for Nestle Vietnam which is currently under project launch discussion at the ASEAN level.

I've learnt programming, mainly Flash. Lecturer said I'm allergic to programming because I'm afraid of it(It's a joke by the way). But I've always taken a liking for visual programming, like the kismet function in UDK and MAX MSP. Then I recently thought of programming a simple game and remembered that there were a few visual programming softwares.

I went to Google it and Stencyl pop out. And taa-daa, here I am! Currently developing a mobile game with another friend of mine. Hopefully it'll be released in the market soon!

I love this community as it's a very welcoming and helpful one. Thanks to the many who helped me! I don't intend for this to be a self promotion, but if you need any music or sound and wanna work with me, just drop me an email, no charge. It's the best way I can return the favour. I can't really post all my works/demos online as it's kinda like a publishing house copyright protection policy, but I can send you a link.

My game is still in development, but I just tried signing up an account under Apple first.
I was signing up for the developer program under Apple and was asked if I'm publishing my game as an individual or company.

If it's an individual, then it'll be published under my account name, and if it's company, then I'll have to provide my company ID, registration number and details (or something like that).

If me and my friend are just indie developers, are we required to register a company or developer name? Because we wanna start a small indie development team.

And how do we check if the game we are making does not infringe copyright? It will really be a pain if we were to receive a lawsuit.

And last of all, if we need to register, which one will benefit indie developers more, Sole Proprietor or Private Limited?

Oh! Haha! I totally forgot that it starts with 0. And you're right, it spawned 3 actors, with the 3rd one following the new y-axis. I did as instructed and now I got the 2nd button to spawn at a different y-axis, but it's not directly below the 1st button. So looking forward to your next video! Thanks!

Stretched as in blurred? I'm not really sure how to help you, but my best bet would be the import resolution of the image. You can turn off anti-aliasing in the Settings, but I don't know how to turn it off just for an actor.

Hopefully someone can shine some light into this!

There's a Grow block. So maybe when actor collides with item, grow self? I hope this will help!

I tried to adjust it by setting the number of characters to be created, but I can't figure out how to adjust the y axis after 1 loop.

I only have 2 buttons so far, so I tried creating them 1 beneath the other. Placed the If block and set it to: If current loop count > 1, create actor type with name ID as text at X:__ and Y:__.

But it doesn't work. Most likely it is my If statement.
