All of my my animations have been cut down to the minimum amount of space, minus the first and last frames of the sword attack animation, but that's because the animation gets larger as it plays out.

I have attached several screenshots with debug drawing on below. 1 is how it should be normally.

2 sometimes occurs when turning around.

3 happens when walking away from walls.

4 happens whenever I walk downwards on that bridge area.

5 happens when turning around to get back on the bridge.

6 occurs while walking around in the water.

I've found that I can get out of the water by getting stuck to the wall, attacking, turning around, and attacking again, but that really shouldn't have to be done. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this, can someone please help?

Thanks, Liberado, I'll try that tomorrow. Thanks for telling me that it was typewritten text as well, I just couldn't find a better word for it than scrolling.

That is all the blocks needed, correct?

I knew that it would long and complicated to do this the way I was trying to. That's why I came here to see if anyone else had a better idea. I just couldn't think of a better way to do it.

Also, I thought that since it was inside the "do after" block, the font would need to be changed again.

I don't much work with lists (yet, I have a feeling I'm going to pretty soon.) so could show me what you meant when you spoke of them in your post?

Sorry, I meant to reply to this sooner, but life happened.

I ended up making whole other game attribute, completely dedicated to killing the actor, and it finally died. Thanks for the help though!

I'm trying to make scrolling text as in text where each character gets put on screen one after the other, like Zelda or Undertale. I've tried doing this by doing something like the below code, but that only draws the first character, then stops. Any ideas?

P.S. I do know about the Dialog Extension, but it refuses to work for me...

I have an actor that is in the game currently just for looks. I have it set up so that when a boolean game attribute becomes true, it kills itself.

It doesn't die though. Does anyone know why?

So I made an enemy, tried to code the movement myself, but ended up settling for the above behavior.

I want it to move at speed 10, but it won't. I found that it works fine at speed 500, or even 100, but much below that and it won't work anymore.

I tried speed 50, and it surged ahead - and stopped a tile away from the wall.

Can anyone help with this?

I'm using build 8868, if that helps.

If you need any other information, just let me know.

Yeah, I realized that I had messed around a bit before I sent the game, and didn't put it back to normal. There are three checkpoints, but not working right.

Basically, the same thing is happening, but all the players are being spawned at the EXACT same place.

If I attached the spawning code to the player, would that help?

Since it is supposed to be a large Metroidvania game, you can go back to checkpoints several times.

I just realized that there is only one checkpoint in this file, I can send another with more if you don't find anything.

Actor in the actual meaning of the word, I have 5 not counting checkpoints. 2 are invisible things that prevent getting all your powerups by dying.

Actor by meaning player, I only have one.

I think I need to code it so that only one checkpoint will spawn them, but I have no clue how to start...
