Windows / Mac / Flash / HTML5 / Re: Plug Me on Steam!
« on: April 07, 2018, 06:48:02 pm »
Yes, I hardly test on windows, because I am thinking of exporting it as flash(or maybe html5) so that it can be played online without downloading.  ;P
I think, I will have to use Image API for some of my actors(especially bullets).
Anyways, thanks for letting me know.

It is great.
I thought of stencyl as just a game making engine, but now what you have made is changing my point of view.
It is more type of an app or software than game    ;P
how do you get real time weather conditions?

In that case, I can't think of any other problem except collision groups and shapes.
Make sure the player's bullet is a member of Player's Projectile" group and the group for its collision shape is also the same.
Do the same for the enemy.
Ensure that the groups are set to be collided with each other.
Also, I am not sure about it because I haven't tried it. Do the actors on different layers collide? If they don't, then make sure that both the actors are on the same layer.

There are lots of answers above. Who knows what may work.   ;P

Hi havanna,
The game looks amazing.
I wanted to ask you, how you incorporated so many actors without having the game lagging.
Beacause graphics are stunning(for me at least).

Did you use image API ?

What is the code you posted above -actor event, actor behavior, scene event, scene behavior?

Make sure it is on the topmost layer.
When I drawn a shape at the same place, I thought it will be below the actor.
But the drawn shape covered the anchored actor. So, I set up the drawing shape to a lower layer.
That worked fine for me.

Sorry, I'm not understanding what problm you are having riight now.But as I told you above, you can set the origin point of each frame of actor to top left(if you want the actor's top left point to be created where you click)
Otherwise set it to Center(Default) if you want your actor's center where you click.

And simply use the code you uploaded picture of.

Go in game resources and find images named box if there are and delete them and try again.

What does this event do?
The code in this runs when game is paused?

Oh, I could have used just one attribute :P
but you can use both if you want one of height and width to grow more than the other.

Hi Pigatuo,
increase height and increase width are number attributes.
What do you want to do by increasing mass actually.
Increase in mass will not have any effect on Appearance. It is used in collisions, and physics.

That's weird because that worked for me just fine. The above code creates actor in a grid system(similar to that of tiles).
Do you want to create actor's top left where the mouse is clicked?
In that case, just set the origin point of actor to top left and in the event "when mouse is pressed", use block "create actor at x of mouse y of mouse".

By "grow" you mean increase in Size, right?
There's  a block "grow actor by ____% over ___ sec using ___" in
ACTORS>TWEENING

For the countdown, you can create a number attribute and increment it in "do every ____ sec" and then use it.
Remeber to use "do every ___ sec" event, not the block found in pallete.

The code in the screenshot below will work.
Also, The origin point of  Large Block was Top-Left.
