You'd have to make different animations with different collision boxes, then use the <switch animation to...> block when appropriate.

That looks beautiful! The concept of a tower defense side scroller is interesting. Can't wait to see it finished!

Development Commentary

What spawned this was basically a bet. A friend of mine bet me I couldn't prototype Flappy Bird, to which I replied "gimme 3 hours", it took way longer as you'll find out here. Shortly after said bet, I got a job offer at a newly established videogame publishing company here in Saudi Arabia; I jumped on the opportunity since the gaming scene here is young and the market is just begging to be tapped into. Our first project and highest priority was to study the market and figure out the demographics, and test out a few ad services and figure out which are profitable and which are not. So I was asked to develop a "case study" app that can be launched soon, I only had one game project that just needed polishing and localization to be published, my Flappy Bird clone! The thing is, I didn't want to just make another clone, I wanted to make it a bit different; I added a variety of mechanics to the "pipes". Some move, some shoot bullets, some do both. I also added a wide pipe "almost like a tunnel" that moves, forcing you to carefully navigate through it. I also made a few characters so players can choose between them. All the art assets -except the characters- are from a previous flash game that I made, so that made everything a bit quicker.

Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy it. I would love to hear your feedback and opinions, and if you have any suggestions or face any problems, please don't hesitate to tell me.

After you set the <Highscore> to <Score> make sure you use the <save game> block. Also, when the game first starts use the <load game> block.

Actually you can skip the part where you set the score to game attribute. Simple use the game attribute troughout the whole game.

(whenever you het points)
Set (numberGA) to ((numberGA) + 1)

(when you press the start button on the main menu, you need to clear the scoreGA by doing...)
~set (scoreGA) to (0)
~switch scene to (level1)

Second that. It's way less of a hassle.

I think what siddharth meant was, in the actor's "physics" section, under "advanced" you can set the actor to "can not be paused".

It's ok to use an actor as a background, but make sure it doesn't have a collision box or unneeded physics.

Use a game attribute (purple ones). At the end on the level set the game attribute to the final score, then at the beginning of the next level set the score to the game attribute, hopefully that should do it.

Make sure the behavior is a scene behavior and attached to a scene. Also, I think it would be better to put the random number generator in a <round> block.

Yes and yes. It's totally worth it. You build once and export/publish to basically everything. The yearly fee keeps the lights on for the guys working on Stencyl.

Sorry for bumping this, but since I'm giving up on the extension. I'm wondering, is it's possible to use the <post [text] to url [text]> block to send data to Google analytics? I've never used Google analytics before, so a bit of detail would be appreciated.
