Chit-Chat / Re: My stencyl wiki

Also, you haven't linked to it.

(To be fair, I think that stencylpedia is pretty outdated and a wiki would be useful)

The full contents of Stencylpedia are on Github and can be edited in a Wiki-like way. We last did a top-to-bottom update just a few months ago, so I respectfully disagree that the content is out of date.

Chit-Chat / Re: Is Y8 the last big sponsor?

Kongregate is very much still in the sponsorship arena with its Launchpad (X) effort, but you have to have something really good for them to be interested.

That's all I'm aware of and all that needed to be done to resolve the issue. Here's the official announcement.

We'll be hearing this a lot.

Apple's own certificate expired pretty recently. You'll need to redownload the WWDC Intermediate certificate from their site.

Unfortunately, some of our devs neglect to update that (or sometimes the updates are internal ones that aren't worth noting).

That's why it appears that way.

Just to set the record straight, prior to today's update, the last update was on February 18th and was a fix to a long standing full-screen mode bug.

It was never 28 days - I'm not sure where that's coming from. The page you download the builds from always tell you how fresh the build is.

As Rob says, Steam's uncharted territory for us. Quite a few Stencyl games have been greenlit, but this is the first to my knowledge to be published. What exactly does the error / Steam log say?

Your first instinct (about trying to point to the executable inside the .app) matches what I would have tried too.

Happy New Year!

This release further improves upon the prior one, which we kept around for a while because it worked well for many. See this page for the list of changes.

Ask a Question / Re: renewal - manual?

Answering this for future searches.

Renewals are manual because we don't hold customer cards on file. Most renewals are completed within 24 hours, often much less than that.

From what I've recently seen, it's best to release a free, ad-supported game with ad removal as an IAP. You'll find that the vast majority of revenue will come from ads. This particularly holds true if your game is lucky enough to be featured by Apple and get solid reviews from the main sites.

Ask a Question / Re: How much space does Stencyl take up?

It changes - best to check it yourself.

Click the download link to start the download, see what the projected size is, then cancel the download.

We haven't decided on a specific time table yet. That's why we haven't said anything about it on official channels yet.

What exact version this happens in is irrelevant since we'll shut the whole upload functionality off - you won't be able to use an older version to circumvent it (it will just fail less gracefully).

Crash Course 2 and Chapter 2 have not gotten a look over yet.

The other articles are orphaned articles that we'll probably remove in the future. How did you discover the labels article when we haven't been using them for a long time?

Resolved Questions / Re: Silent install of "Stencyl-full.exe"

Could you provide a link to the page where you found that "dead link"? I'd like to remove it to avoid confusion.

Please contact us via e-mail. You sound like you're installing for a school or institution. We can hook you up with something there. Thanks.
