Ask a Question / A couple of questions about collisions and multishot
« on: January 01, 2017, 03:31:57 pm »
Ok so I have two questions. The first is about collisions. I have some code that is supposed to detect a collision, kill the actor, play a sound and then award some points. See first image attachment. The problem is that it doesn't always work, no matter how I arrange it. Sometimes the actor flies off into a random direction, and sometimes the score is not incremented. Does anyone know how to fix that? Second question. I have an actor that shoots multiple bullets at the player, it does so every N seconds. One of those bullets does not have a fixed trajectory but rather is fired in the direction of the player regardless of where the player is. What I am trying to do is to have the actor shoot multiple bullets within that time frame. two of those bullets follow a static path, and one of those bullets follows a trajectory towards the player. The problem is that the bullet actors with the static path overlap, and the second bullet actor that follows the trajectory flies off in a different direction to the first. See second and third image attachments. How do I fix it?

Ask a Question / How do i replicate this behaviour?
« on: December 02, 2016, 05:14:05 pm » fast forward to about 4 minutes. I know how to make an actor move to another actor, but how do I make the bullet just face the player when the fire mechanics are triggered like the yellow bullets in the boss fight sequence beginning at the 4 minute mark and ending at the 5 minute mark? In essence I want the player to have to move to dodge the bullet.

Ask a Question / How to change an actor for a power up
« on: November 26, 2016, 04:42:01 pm »
I am using the fire bullet actor behaviour and  want to be able to randomly change the bullet type actor depending on an actor collision. is that possible? If so how?

For example,  if I have 2 bullet types, bullet1 and bullet2, if I shoot a powerup I want to be able to swap between bullet1 and bullet2 based on the value of a random integer.

Ask a Question / Error while testing/publishing
« on: November 22, 2016, 03:35:04 pm »
Hello everyone, I am trying to create a game for Android. Whenever I test on Android it just hangs for hours and does nothing. I have followed the tutorial but it still hangs even though I have both the JDK and Android SDK installed. So I thought I would just publish it and see what happens. I get an error. Several actually if I am reading the logs correctly. The errors that I can see are in relation to stopping processes that I don't have running to begin with. Can someone please have a look at my logs and confirm what I think, or if there are any other errors, and most importantly, how can I fix the errors that do occur? I apologise if this is posted in the wrong section of the forums. Thanks in advance.
