Is this a 32/64bit issue?

iPad's tend to have low spec but are good at resource management.

Fonts are image based i.e images, not fonts, so that's why they take up quite a bit of space.

Your memory usage looked fine.

I think iPad 2 is still the most common iOS device and has 512mb. Android generally has more but I'm not sure about it.

Try Squeeb's suggestion. I had a similar problem with a sound. For some reason Stencyl didn't copy a sound file into the right folder.

You could also have done it with the image API.

Set it to X of camera + screen width - width of actor

You can calculate it manually with existing blocks but there's extensions that can make life easier.

Easy Math extension or Drawing Utilities extension.

Stencyl can export to HTML5. The HTML exporter is now out of the experimental stage.

Compiling is also now faster too. http://www.stencyl.com/features/whatsnew/

Was this made in Stencyl??

I haven't seen this done is Stencyl, but I'd approach it by really using z-laying and skewing images. It could be done, and once you ha dit working you could make it easily reusable.
