Hi guys, finally Bugongo has found a sponsor and it was released!  :D
You can play the game on Stencyl arcade, Kongregate and Newgrounds (see the first post)!

Let me know what do you think! :)


Freeform code works only in flash game stype.
To use this code you must turn your game type into flash...
Go to the game folder, open game.xml with a text editor and change the projectType="mobile" with projectType="web".

@kerl yes, the egg has 3 power-up! :)
Instead of more obstacles I think that I will make the first level a bit shorter in the next update. ;)

I'm glad that you like it, but you have missed a thing: Bugongo is a little green lizard without arms... much more powerfull! ahah :D
@Pixel Pusher, yes, it's my first game made with stencyl... before I've made a  couple of games and demos with rpgmaker! :)

Bugongo is a platform game where the player plays as a little green dragon who tries to chase and defend his egg from the dangerous green hills of his world!
Main feature of the game is that the player will not control only Bugongo but even the egg, that will roll without stopping through the various levels!
  • 20+ addicting Levels
  • 57 hidden Golden Eggs
  • 15 unlockable Medals
  • 3 Egg's Power Up
  • Giant Bosses
  • Global Leaderboard and single leaderboard for each level!

I'm so excited, this is my first game with Stencyl. :)

Old Bugs (1.x/2.x) / Bug in add polygon collision UI

If you try to add a polygon shape to an actor with a big image (In my case it's 439*395 pixel) you can't press the "ok" or "cancel" button, becouse they disappear in the bottom.

In the Collision Groups panel, if you create too many groups you can't manage them in the "Collides With" space.
I've attached a screenshot where the collision group "example" can't be setted.
I hope that you will solve this soon, becouse I can't work with this problem.

Hi all,

Is there a way to check if the user is connected to internet before trying the POST/GET blocks?
Becouse without this "if statement" stencyl gives me a pop-up error if I'm not connected...

Yes Photon, because when I've exported the "Scene behavior" with the large comment his size was 19 mb...
Now, without comment his size is around 40 kb!

Ok I've found the error...
In italian we use often the word "è"..
In a "block comment" I've used this word but Stencyl have changed this in something like:
And every time that i saved the game, Stencyl has increased this symbols in something like:


So the behavior is increased too much...
I think is a bug... or not?

Sorry for double posting, but I've found something!

I've tried to delete one by one all the actors/behaviors and when I've deleted my only "scene behavior", the memory seems to have worked fine.

In fact if I try to open this "scene behavior" the memory increases a lot!
Why this happen?

I usually do a backup of my game every day...
so i found the "bug" game...
The strange thing is that I've only added some little actors with small graphics, and for some days this "bug" never happened. Why?

Hi all!

I'm having a big trouble with stencyl...
I'm running under Windows 7 and today stencyl for the first time has exceeded the memory limit...
In the task javaw.exe has around 3.000.000 kb in the memory...
The Memory increase when I press the test game button. And after this, it doesn't stop.

I have already downloaded and run the stencyl.exe (over here,5601.0.html )and reboot system many times.

Please help, I was going to buy the PRO version  but with this bug Stencyl seems to be unworkable.

When I press the test button, the memory increase when the popup says "Prepping 52 of 57".
This "Prepping 52 of 57" remains on screen for a few seconds before continue.
