Suggestion Issue: Make 'Image' a resource type

I wonder if we can have a new type of ressources (now there is actor types, fonts, backgrounds, scenes , sounds, tilesets) for images.
 it would be useful now that we have an image api

Have you tried the Extras Manager Extension?

Just trying it.  There are a few bugs. But I'm going to post them into the approriate forum :)

Saying in this ( in the far far future) it could be cool to have an images ressource for different reasons.
For example , you could use different actors that could have in part the same frames.

I second this request. Working with images is currently a bit of a pain. Being able to load them into the asset tree would make a big difference. I was just about to create this thread myself.
