So I have downloaded / installed 8710 for the flash log problems which is now resolved :)

But  the default workspace folder is not the same ( It was in C:/Users /Username) as always, so I had to change it in the preferences and put it in C:/Users /Username/Appdata/Roaming/Stencyl)
Now I can see my games, but none of my engines extensions :(

Justin and I noticed this yesterday but are unsure of the cause. It should be easy to trace back the offending lines of code, but it's proving to be difficult to do so.

This may have been caused by the fix to the OS version detection, but I haven't found where the in the code the engine-extension location would depend on that.

To be clear, the issue I noticed was that the entire workspace seemed to have been forgotten. (preferences reset, asks you to sign in again, etc.)

@captaincomic - Thinking back now, I don't think it was your checkin at all. I remember seeing this when I was testing Justin's Neko install change. That included both that and some work on the improved toolset extensions manager.

What's making this really hard to track down is the fact that it happens just once and can't be reproduced thereafter.

I'm seeing a similar issue on a Mac. Stencyl complains about the workspace having the wrong permissions, and my account credentials were forgotten.

I checked back on my logs and found the ones for the session where this happened. All I can see is that the workspace folder came back as blank on that run. After signing in and running the app again, the problem never recurred. (I never had to change/move the workspace folder and nothing was lost.)

Code: [Select]
2015-09-29 20:26:43,886 INFO  [main] stencyl.sw.Session: Stencyl Version: 3.3.2 (b0)
2015-09-29 20:26:43,887 INFO  [main] stencyl.sw.Session: Stencyl Workspace:
2015-09-29 20:26:43,888 INFO  [main] stencyl.sw.Session: User Working Directory: /Users/jon/git/stencyl
2015-09-29 20:26:43,888 INFO  [main] stencyl.sw.Session: User Home Directory: /Users/jon

The other thing that is strange is that ever since then, my OS/Java values are reporting back as null, even today. I don't know why this is happening since this is pulling straight from Java itself...

Code: [Select]
2015-09-29 20:26:43,885 INFO  [main] stencyl.sw.Session: OS Name: null
2015-09-29 20:26:43,885 INFO  [main] stencyl.sw.Session: OS Version: null
2015-09-29 20:26:43,886 INFO  [main] stencyl.sw.Session: Java Version: null

What could go wrong with this?

Code: [Select]
public static final String OS_NAME = System.getProperty("os.name");
public static final String OS_VERSION = System.getProperty("os.version");
public static final String JAVA_VERSION = System.getProperty("java.version");

Both issues (the one I noticed and the original) should now be fixed up in the latest private release. Granted, once you sign back in, you don't hit the issue again...
