Sorry I can't remember the exact details 100% because this was a while ago since this happened.
But about 8 months ago I set up Stencyl on my new computer, and I had trouble getting games to compile, because apparently the part that you want the Visual Studio installer to install was disabled by default.
The installer looked something like this:

I'm about 90% sure that what it was was, like in the image, the "Programming Languages" part was disabled by default and I didn't realize until a few tries that I had to manually enable that myself.
We should tell the user outright, when it's about to make the installer pop up, that they need to manually enable that (if that's actually the right thing). I'm sure a lot of people are worse than even me at being able to pick up what to do.
