That's odd, what happened to Kerl's posts, he had two.  :o

And the guy above me is a robot-spammer.

To your your question, I found it an extreme punch in the face after touching the spikes and then restarting so I ragequited. There was nothing to calm me down and assured me to try again.  :-\

yes, I removed two of my messages, sorry for that. I just sent him more elaborated suggestions by pm. This idea is somewhat like greg-anims' "making monkeys" but the static blackholes and teleporting add a lot of interesting possibilities.

Oh what, I never knew you could do that.  :o

Hmm, I kind of feel that you shouldn't be able to do that. Only a mod should be able to hide your posts.

A user could just as easily modify their post to include no content, or completely different content. Allowing removal by users simplifies a few things such as permitting a user to delete an accidental double-post, rescinding statements (assuming they haven't already been quoted by another user), etc which generally helps reduce the workload for any moderators. As long as it isn't abused for nefarious purposes there's probably no need to worry about it.

I see. What was surprising though was that it just disappeared. If you edit it it would still have your post box there with the "Last editted on" blurb.

@ dtrungle: Hmmm... so there was no sense of achievement after you completed the level? That's very hard ting to do.I thought the story and the writing on the rocks would solve that problem. As he hates the world because of you know what  and if he collects all the statues the world will come to an end.

I did read the intro bits (the text can be enlarged/clearer btw), its the brick wall that made me rage quitted. I just don't enjoy things like that, unless there's something at the end that would draw me in to try again.

Hmmm... ya they were suppose to be hard though you got the idea how to complete it right? Maybe I have to make my story even more good to make somebody want to clear the level.

In this case, I don't think story is the answer to give a player motivation to clear each level. I think investing a bit of time to give the game a little more 'stimulation' would go a long way.

When clearing a level the scene simply fades into the next scene. Think of games like Sonic and Mario - when completing a level you're met with a victorious fanfare and a big 'LEVEL CLEAR' plastered across the screen. It gives the player a moment to savour their victory.

While I enjoy parts of your game like the cool teleporting animation (as well as his death animation, which I find quite cute), there's not enough 'stimulation' to keep me interested or to persevere through the challenges. Things like music and other sound effects immerse the player a little more.

I had included a music I found to be quite well going with my game but it just made the game heavy. So, I discarded it. I've included some tid-bits of sound sfx here and there and also this was a test to see what works and what doesn't(i must admit, I don't really like how this test came out to be) and I don't really want to work on this further because I have some other projects at the moment but, i'll surely take your suggestions while working on it.

and thanks for the compliment.. ^^
