Lost in a wasteland, only shining objects let you cling to life. You get one life and one gift a day.

Some day, maybe, you'll get out of this place. Some day, maybe...

I ran around attached to a rotating ladder and then climbed it mid-air past the top of the screen.  Strange.

Gonna go ahead and say that probably wasn't intended.

I wish I knew what the general user experience was, I was really scared to release this being that it's so big and unwieldy. The feedback so far is kind of vague, with the only specific criticism being unsure of what to do (which I anticipated), so I just don't know if people quit right away or if some potential bug does them in or what.

well i enjoyed the experience, the first ladder you get to after the letter box seems to have a life of its own, kind off sliding down from the boxes, maybe its moveable, i didnt try to pick it up actually.

I enjoyed exploring the world and the day night cycle was cool, the blobs that chase you at night make things tricky, I started trying to store things in the little shelter, had a battery in there and then i got a tourch, i used the torch to collect the orb from the low dark level. I think i may have found most of the orbs but never more than 1 or 2 at a time.

i couldnt work out what the massive tree trunk was for, couldnt seem to do anything with it. I also found the machine, wasnt sure if I needed to give it something, maybe the orbs or a battery, ill go back later an experiment.

I liked the rain storm.

hope this isnt to many spoilers.

its a an impressive job for the time frame, only thing lacking would be some background music.

I played last night for around 30 - 45 minutes. What made me stop was the multitude of bugs, which isn't your fault with the time constraint. I probably would have played til completion otherwise.

I liked the lack of guidance, and it only took me a whole 30 seconds to figure out that I should probably be collecting the orbs, and a few failures before I had a good idea of the world and what to do with the items. The only reason I didn't finish was because of bugs always leading to my death.

Honestly it is a good basis for an adventure/exploration game, and one of the more original takes on the theme.

I'm glad you gave it that much time. Out of curiosity, what bugs resulted in your death? I can think of one with the rain lowering your morale way too fast, but I don't know of any others. I believe you're allowed to make small tweaks exclusively to game-breaking bugs (Sources?) after the deadline. If I can confirm this, I'll try fixing what I can.

EDIT: Oh, rereading you didn't say the bugs necessarily killed you. Nevermind!

There was one bug that directly killed me.

I interpreted that the plank from the mail box was supposed to be protection from the monsters, since I couldn't pick it up. Night comes and I hide behind the board. No monsters show up for a bit, but then I start getting hit by some invisible force in the way that the monsters hit you. It drained my hp all the way, and I was not hit by a single actual monster.

I've written a post-mortem on the game for anyone who's interested:

This game is amazing! I love the large area to explore! The level was designed flawlessly! I love the darkness during the night and in caves. I mean... Just wow! This game has so many things that I love. I feal like this was almost made for me, this is the exact type of game I love and want to make! Just, the game was almost perfectly executed! There were a couple bugs I noticed that kinda annoyed me, and I didn't know exactly what to do, but I think I figured what to do. This games quality is just mind-blowing for a game made in less than 48 hours!

You did a great job on this one!
