I saw the same (or similar) on another news website, and I think the zoom on that screen is weird, too; why not just scroll through contacts?

It smacks of 'cool' (like being able to send your heartbeat to a friend!) but in practical terms, a bit odd.

Kinda yucky how Apple added U2's newest album to our iTunes libraries without permission.

Apple Watch looks cool, although I'm curious how Apple will tackle the aforementioned design issues with the crown. Also surprising there was no talk about left-handed users during the presentation. (at least I haven't read anything about it from The Verge's livestream)

The iPhone 6's new camera and credit card capabilities are cool, and the new screen construction is nice. That said, I wish they could have maintained the iPhone 5/5S/5C's screen since, but perhaps I can life with the 4.7 inch screen iPhone 6.

The bigger screen size makes it easy for  UI designers to screw up.

For example, my smartphone  has a 4.55 inches screen and I can't use fundamentals apps, like making a phone call, without using both hands. My thumb can't reach every part of the screen, unless I hold the phone awkwardly and risk to drop it. I honestly struggle to accept incoming calls and then hang up.
Had the developer of the app decided to use vertical gestures and place critical buttons near one edge of the screen, then I could handle the smartphone as it is intended for trivial tasks.

Re: left handed users of the watch; someone mentioned that if the bands are fully reversible it could just be worn "upside down" on the right wrist. This presumes that the screen will reorient itself, of course.

I think it's important tot remember that the Apple Watch is still yet to be finalized and we don't know the details yet. They are likely still working on it and changes will be made before the release.

I just looked, and I was surprised to see it on my iPhone. Creepy!

I'm assuming I can delete it.

Apple watches are cool, but phones not very good. They good, but it looks like that apple copying samsung now and do not made nothing innovative. As it always was, without Jobs, apple not makes nothing special, and probably will die soon.

I wouldn't say that iPhones aren't very good; I've had an iPhone 4S for 21 months, and I am very pleased with it. It's definitely the best smartphone that I have owned, but I could not see any benefit in upgrading to the iPhone 5S, nor the newly announced iPhone 6.

I buy my phones outright (no contract). My break-even for owning my 4S (compared to having it on contract) was month 13, so I'm happy. I think I'll be keeping the 4S at least until the end of 2015, unless something really spectacular becomes available before then (unlikely).

Have you seen the "Welcome to 2012" joke? It makes a good point!

That's nice to know.

Unfortunately, you can't delete it from your library. The album isn't downloaded by default, but the "cloud" tracks will stay on your library.
There's an option to hide it, though.  http://radio.com/2014/09/10/how-to-download-delete-the-new-u2-album/

You may want to read up on the post-Jobs legacy and *expert* opinions on the matter.  Yesterday's event is a great example of how Apple can still innovate after Jobs. If you think the world's biggest company is going to die tomorrow, you may want to give it more thought.
