Step 1: Enter in the Mochi key for your game
What the key? I'm from Russia, and I translate your news for russian.

It's a key you get when setting up your game in mochi.com, I think.

There are no impossible things. There is only lack of skills.
Don't click this if your computer has less than 641 kilobytes of RAM.

When you create a game entry on Mochi's site, they provide a key that lets you use their API for your one game.

You can find it by clicking on Dashboard, then on the game's name on the Mochi site. It will be in the left bar, halfway down the page under the title "Game ID"

Thanks for the prompt coverage of our newest developments.

We're eagerly awaiting a Russian translation of StencylWorks - last I heard a user by the name of "Drane" was close to done, but we haven't heard back since, to my knowledge. (Do you that user?)

This is great! But one thing that bothers me is the suddeness with which the ad pops up in your demo, it completely ruins the rhythm of the gameplay. Is there anyway we can use mochi's inter-level or pre-loader ads instead? I know I could simply use the current block at the beginning of the game or between levels, but they have the disadvantage of having to be clicked to go away, and you can't have them actually appear over the top of the pre-loader like many games do? Any ideas :) ?

It's just an interlevel ad that I made to show right away purely for demo purposes.

Oh, so it should work fine if I just use it between scenes etc?

Actually nevermind, I realised it shouldn't matter too much anyway, thanks Jon, this is awesome! :)

Jon,
Thank you so much for this. Every day, with every update, Stencyl is turning into a ever more exciting program. The new Mochi integration is a really exciting development. Now flash game developers can create simple games for free and earn revenue for their creations if they catch on. I had a combined million+ plays of my games, both before the mochi platform and programs like Flash Game License were released; I earned not one thin red dime for them. Stencyl can really be a game changer.

Thanks again,
Charles

Hi

I've put my game ID into the Mochi API and it looks as the Mochi is reading something because it's feeding back some info on sessions. The thing is, I can't see the advertisement blocks in Stencly so I can't complete the 'ping' to Mochi. Have I missed a step?

Cheers

Just to add, what I did was, add the Game ID, re-published it, uploaded it and then launched it in a browser. So as far as I know it should have ping, is it after the ping has been successful that the Mochi blocks become available?

Oh and I tried running it in Windows as well as Mac and in both cases I'm unable to locate the Mochi blocks,

On a side note the Mochi game code on Mac is under preferences (Apple + ,) not game settings.

So has anyone else been able to locate the Mochi blocks?
