Name Input?

I am currently having trouble with allowing the player to name their Character. can this be done with blocks or must I learn the coding for such an action? If I need to learn the code could anyone possibly tell me where to look it up or maybe post the solution here? As always your help is very much appreciated

It is possible to do.

There's a text  input thing in forge you can download and use easily... hard to get it going though..
