Ive seen people saying it a few times in the forums recently. Flash is not in a great place, especially with the FGL flash marketplace being shut, but its definitely not dead, yet. Looking at the stats from my sponsored games this year, they are still getting millions of plays. Wrassling for example has around 6million plays in 8 months on one site, even with ad block, the portals are still making money.
I have actually made more money from flash this year than any previous years. 2 major portals have e-mailed me in the last year asking for games, another regular portal I've been working with for a couple of years is looking for games. Im wondering if there is even a bit of a shortage of flash games after so many devs have moved away from the platform.
I make an average of $1800 per game, its not crazy money but still very much worth the effort in my opinion.
If you have perviously made money from flash games but now are finding you can't sell games anymore, Id be interested to here about it.
If you think you have a decent flash game and want to try to get it sponsored then get in touch.
If you just like to talk about "flash is dead" but have never tried to get a game sponsored, please shhhhhh
