Hello!

Here is a GIF of the game suitcasenuke and I have been making, Golf Zero. Its coming out on iOS next week.

its a crazy mix of 2D golf and platforming.

Not a huge golf fan, but love platformers, and this doesn't seem to adhere to the rules of golf persay...

I should mention letmethink did a bunch of work for Golf Zero such as the character movement set up and the screen drag.
Liberado also made a behaviour for a pendulum blade.

the game itself is pretty far removed from actual golf, I'm not a fan of the sport myself, I just like the mechanics behind it.

Just downloaded. Loving the game so far! The concept works out really well and it's a lot of fun.

However, I will mention a few things that could be improved:

1. The ads. There are simply too many. This is mainly a problem when you're dying a bunch of times in quick succession. Perhaps you could base the frequency of ads on time instead, and only show them after the player has just died or completed a level. It's annoying when one shows up right as you start moving.

2. The hitbox on the ground spikes is too large. Often I get spiked when it looks like I'm not even touching them.

3. I would like to be able to move the aim arrow just a bit faster, but maybe that's just me.

But again, amazing game, and congrats on the feature!

P.S. I'm curious about that beautiful banner feature. Does Apple ask you for banner artwork in advance of the release?

Yeah, Apple will point you towards a template that will guide you through the promo process if they are interested in a possible feature. The request could come a week or the night before they need it. They always keep you on your toes!

Thanks, yeah actually a timer would be better, I may look into that in future updates. It was tricky finding a good place to show the adverts with this one, you would think it would be as simple as show advert on death, however, have you noticed you die on almost every level just as you make the shot XD I actually try to kill you so I can move the camera to the ball. So the advert would so as the ball is going into the hole. Also showing one as the score board shows up didn't feel right, kind of like "well done, now here is your punishment"

So advert on scene start after a restart is not ideal, but I stand by it being the best placement for this game.
