Hi all am hoping someone can help me here, in a nutshell i am creating a desktop game, the resolution is 640x480 as i want it to have a retro look. The problem is though, when ever i import a background stencyl creates 4 other versions of the image file causing the game size to be massive when i export it. Im importing 640x480 image at x1 no smoothing, in the settings the scaling is set to 1x and i unchecked x2, x3,x4 and x5 yet stencyl still creates these extra files after import when all i want is the one file at 640x480 and not all the scaled ones stencyl creates, obviously im doing something wrong but cant figure out what lol, any help would be greatly appreciated

There are two spots to change which scales your game uses. One is under Game Settings > Desktop (or whatever other platform but you're using desktop obviously). The other is under Game Settings > Settings > Advanced.

Also if you want to remove the files that have already been created then Tools > Game > Cleanup Unused Files should work.

Brilliant thanks so much for your help, my issue was not unchecking the project sizes in the advanced settings menu, much appreciated.
If i may trouble you once more though please, i have another project in mind, i would again like to make it a desktop game, it will roughly involve about 100 scenes, each with it's own different background. Now for this project i would like to have the game size and background image resolution at 1920x1080 but when i tested this out and imported a 1920x1080 image as a background at x1, i got a 90% memory usage error, am i doing something wrong here too? Sorry to ask another question so soon after you solved my 1st issue
