Android app crashing

Hi all,

So I have an app that works in both on the appstore and in amazon appstore. However the same app does not work on android. I have done some testing and the error that comes up is this:

java.lang.IllegalStateException
com.google.android.gms.common.internal.zzf$zza.zzc

I have googled and there are some helpful articles, even if they are a little hard to understand.

Has anyone come across this error before and knows how to fix? I will be ever so grateful!

Have you filled in the Settings > Mobile > Certificates (Android) page where it asks for the Google App ID?

I've got round to thins, finally! Thanks for the advice. I believe I have inputted the correct app id in google play settings.

Got some crash data now. Is anyone knowledgeable enough to tell me the problem? Thanks in advance.

I've updated Stencyl (b10340) to include a fix that hopefully should make that specific problem go away. However, there might be a different issue with your app that's the real cause of the game not working.
