Hello,
After a long time I finally put out a public build of this game for people to put their hands on.
The game is a monster slasher with only mouse/touch control.
Currently it's only out for web with plans to eventually get it out to steam and mobile.

​Added 3 new skins in the shop.
Added unlock skin functionality with unbalanced economy.
Made the enemies drop more coins to further unbalance the economy.
Game now pauses on death,
Fixed a bug with enemy death animations.
Added some fancy fades to some buttons.

Added some effects on the hero in the main menu and when you pick up coins,
Coins can now only be picked up when not slashing.
Made bad economy a little bit better.
Fixed a bug where the dead sprite didn't show up in the right place upon death.
Added text to death screen.

​Added a HUD to the level.
Changed the word "Coins" to a coin icon in the level.
You now start with 3 shields again.
Added animations to menu and shop arrow buttons.
Adjusted enemy behaviors.

New. smoother logo in the intro.
Added a combo system with visual effects.
Fixed a game breaking exploit in the core mechanics.
Made the hits register more accurately.
Fixed a bunch of other crumbs here and there.
Felt cute so I set the shields to max.

Also just realized all itch.io devlogs up until now were sitting in drafts unpublished ...
They are all live now so you can give them a look if you're interested, better late then never :D

Hello,

Sorry for the radio silence. I've  neglected the forum for a couple of updates now. I'kk be sure to post future updates here as well.
To get you up to speed.

V008
New wall crawler animations.
Wall crawlers now only spawn from the bottom and move slower.
2 new skins to unlock.
Set default gold to 10k+V# so you can unlock any skin right out of the bag.

V009
Reworked the enemy spawning system.
Animated wall crawler deaths.
Added a kill counter so you know how far you've got until the next depth.
Made some minor fixes here and there.
Rebranded from svnriz to sr93.me with new logo and all.

V010
Many small and big things changed/added.
New enemy: Hanger- drop from the top and explodes. Can be dangerous but sometimes helpful.
New enemy spawn curve.
After you kill all the enemies a new visual effect has been added and the game only continues after you drop down the hole so you can take your time to pick up every coin if you want.
New level after you complete a depth where it waits for your input before continuing to the next level so you can catch your breath between depths.
Continuing now picks up where you left of with the kill counter so you don't need to do it all over again on a single life.
The liquid at the bottom has been colored purple to make it visible when in pitch black.
You can now kill the wall crawlers but you will always take damage if you do.
Wall crawlers and hangers can kill other enemies if they happen to get too close.
Flying chompers now jiggle a bit to make them a bit more bug like.

Fixed some minor bugs.
Reworked flying chomper's and wall crawler's movements so they feel more natural.
Made the pixels look more crispy.

Tweaked the flying chompers behavior a bit.
Animated an red orb that you pick up and it activates asuperweapon.
For now the only superweapon is a laser scan that killall monsters it touches
Made the orb spawn extremely frequently for testing.
Thinking about making the orb a crystal... what do youthink ?

Drawn 2 new skins for you to get in the shop.
I wasn't too happy with the giant orb for the superpower
pickup so I made it into a bit more humble crystal. This
time it has a destroy animation as well as a new laser
scan animation. Let me know what you think :)

New enemy added: Jumper
He jumps from side to side and clings to walls.​
Fixed a bug where the crystal stopped spawning in certain scenarios.
Fixed the crystal shatter animation not playing on pickup.
Made the skins half as expensive as they were, for now.

Added the first boss to the game, it works as intended at this point. Might change things later.
He will spawn after every level for testing purposes.
Give it a try and let me know if you can beat him :)

Made some tweaks and fixed a few bugs around spawning the boss.
Added 2 new power that you can get randomly by pickup up the crystal.
Now other than the laser you can also get invincibility which makes the turn red and sparkling red X effects.
The other new power is time freeze where the game stops and you can put down red X symbols on enemies that will kill them when time unfreezes. V16 is now playable on itch.io, give it a try :)
