You got a point there. =P

Can my husband use 3.0 or does he need to buy his own license?

He can use your license as long as he logs into Stencyl using your account.
Even to publish? :o

Yeah, a "pro" Stencyl account unlocks the publishing features of Stencyl. It doesn't matter what computer it is on or who uses it.

Being able to do something doesn't necessarily mean you're supposed to do it.

Hello,

I'm currently working with (learning) v2.2.  I was wondering how similar v3 is to 2.2.  I've seen posts that in terms of workflow they are very similar and the vibe I get is that the changes are more "behind the scenes" in regards to publishing options, single source, etc.  I'm just curious because as I'm working with the free version building events has me scratching my head as to how they would look different if I had the purchased version - and more specifically, the v3 beta.  For example, the event code for clicking on a region says "web only".  Does this mean a region is not clickable (or finger tapable) regardless of which version you have?  For those of you working with v3 beta does the unified code remove the questions as to how something should be configured and will work from one output to the other?

2.2 and 3.0 are very similar on how you would make something. All of the flash only blocks in 2.2 should be auto converted to be universal. So in your case with the region, it should work universally between platforms.

You can sell items on the App Store or Android market. If you are talking about selling resources make with Stencyl, it will not be available in 3.0.

My official stance is this - I draw the line at how many Apple developer accounts you have (and same for Android). If you're working closely enough to publish under 1 Apple account and share profits that way, that's fair within reasonable bounds.

If you're separate entities, you should be purchasing separate licenses.

Glad you have given some clarity over that ;)

I may have been looking over it, but I can't find a release date. When will V3 be released?

A release date has not yet been given. It's currently in closed beta (for subscribers).
