To be clear, nobody is making you pirate anything. You're not entitled to have something just because you want it.

Support for other mobile devices would be great untapped markets. Windows Mobile, Blackberry, etc.

I hear that Windows 8 phones are going to work exactly like their tablets and computers.Which means, target one, target all in that area at least.

Stencyl 2.1 already auto-saves. The feature has been met with some ambivalence, mind.

I think 'ambivalence' is being generous! I haven't seen any positive comments about this feature. I'm not generally a 'moaner'; I like to be positive, but I really dislike the way autosave works as it is non-standard and causes problems with expected workflow.

You can turn autosave off in {workspace}/prefs/boot.txt

just set

prefs.autosave=true

to

prefs.autosave=false

Guess I can add an option to do this in Stencyl.

They offer the software for free by default and require just $100 a year for Android support (which you don't actually need until you're ready to start testing on actual Android hardware) and you're saying "if it's not for free, then I'll just have to steal it"?

What an ungrateful bastard you are. And stupid to boot, given you don't seem to realize that Stencyl Pro features are tied to your account. You couldn't "pirate" Android support unless you did something insane like hack the servers, and even if you did do that, you've already made your intentions known - you'd be found out, and they'd have every right to sue you into the dirt.

Oh, and for getting around paying the price, (not that I would do that of course), couldn't you just export the SWF, decompile it, use Flex or Flash, and export it to android/iOS?

Ah fudge, I haven't checked the pricing in a long time.

Any news on pricing for 3.0 yet?  I'm pretty new and still months away from actually releasing games but I definitely plan to upgrade to Pro with 3.0.  Just wondering how worth my while subscribing now and getting that "sweet deal" Jon mentioned would be if I don't plan on taking full advantage of all the features yet.

What if the code block in 3.0 had a dropdown menu, so you could select which platform specific programming language you want to type in (ActionScript, Java, Javascript, etc.) and there would be a small icon next to each showing what platform the code would work on (Flash logo, Android logo & iPhone, HTML5 shield, etc.) like the user input blocks already. Even though this limits the platforms you could work with at a time, it could allow you to have more freedom in that specific platform.
