StencylWorks in Russian

Can we StencylWorks translated into Russian?

Welcome to Stencyl! We have a translation tool available, but we would need a volunteer who speaks Russian to help us out with that.

We now try to get themselves to translate and send to you.

Hi SDA, I imagine you can speak and write Russian. Do you have a few people who can help and work together on translation? It's quite a bit of work as I understand. But if you have several people who can work together, it should go a lot faster.

Welcome. Even though I do not know russian, I will be quite interested to see how long a team would take. It's also nice to get a team going since we can cross check each other work.

I'm not sure if Marck has contacted you yet, but the best course of action is to do the following, until we've developed an in-house Facebook-like tool for translating stuff and getting the community to review it (if you've used something like that in the past).

1) Make a new folder under the "lang" folder for your language, using the proper 2-letter code (ru?)

2) Copy the contents of lang/en/ into that new folder

3) Add an entry for your language to lang/locales.txt to make that choice appear in StencylWorks's preferences

4) In StencylWorks preferences, switch to your language.

5) Now, translate each phrase over and then test in  StencylWorks to make sure it renders properly.

That's the basic procedure. When you've got something workable, attach the translation here as a ZIP, and we can talk about what's next.

Yeah, just do what Jon said. Here's the current Russian translation as a starting point.

Marck, Вы действительно поздно. (и я тоже) Разница между моим переводом и вашим небольшая. Я восстановил разницу, подкорректировал и основной перевод в шаге от релиза. Благодарю. Осталось перевести файлы помощи, но мой напарник куда-то пропал и я работаю один.

Translation is almost done. Work on the help files. My partner does not get in touch. I work alone. Thank's for Marcks reply.
