How can I make it detect when its NOT touching an actor type?

You could create a Boolean that is only True when the 2 actors are touching.

In a separate code block, When Updating (Always):

  If [not][Boolean you just created]
        (do what you need to do here)

If the actors are touching, the boolean is true.  If not, then the boolean is false and another action is able to take place.

the idea above is correct but it may not be as obvious to implement, especially when ur game does not contain only boxes coz there would be lots of buggy collision XD
u may have a look at the On Gound behaviour of the Jump and Run Kit
