Personally, I think the video is very impressive given that Stencyl was launched just 10 days ago. You must be one smart dude to pick up so much in so little time.

However, I think we need a more professional voice to handle the job.

Great work anyhow. I am very impressed.

FLStudio for the win!

I love FLStudio and am quite proficient at it.
I don't know how long you've been using Flstudio, but if you've ever had version 5, you've had one of my songs in the "cool stuff" folder.

One bit of feedback from the team is that while the footage itself is OK, it's hard to follow/understand the voice itself. Just something to keep in mind as you make more or redub the originals.

They might chime in here with more specifics.

Team, I reviewed a few of those clips from Sunrisekingdom and they are really quite nice. For visual and first time stencylwork users, they are really invaluable. It makes learning the tool a lot faster and also build up confidence easier for any new users. Otherwise, it's a sea of material from crash course to chat to forum help to stencypedia which is NOT offering a step by step approach to every single topic of interest.

As far as the accent is concerned (sunrisekingdom, no offense to you at all since a lot of us from different countries and english may not be one's first language), can we get some alternative means going?

1. Maybe a friend who can speak 100% fluent english (some one form stencyl team who can volunteer)?
2. Someone on Kong also suggest sub-title.

I hate to see a great opportunity and a capable volunteer like sunrisekingdom who is talking about doing even more for the team just got pushed aside. Stencyl is a new platform and we should seize every nice opportunity we are given.

Super work, Sunrisekingdom. Can you perhaps edit your first post so that we can see the entire list of video you have made for Stencyl so far? This would let people selectively pick the topic they want to view.

Out of curiosity, how much effort does it take you to create each of these video on average? And in general, what's the process itself?

Folks, as you can see, if you jump to top of this thread, you can see ALL the tutorials sunrisekingdom has contributed to Stencyl so far. They are all quality tutorial. Just pick the one you are interested and go from there.

@sunrisekingdom,

1. Do you have a tutorial that showcase different aspects of scene designer? There are layer, joints, regions and terrains, a lot of other interesting buttons people may not be aware of.

2. Can you rename Actor Bad as Actor Enemies instead since it may be more appropriate?

3.Do you know any languages besides english? I am thinking of other languages on youtube when you are presenting or even perhaps subtiltle below. Maybe asking too much here.

It takes about an hour or two to make a video, first I think about the topic the video will cover, and then I prepare a little before filming the video, like looking the topic up on the stencylworks guide or trying to discover more about it myself and then I start filming the video and after that, I upload the video during the night so when I wake up it will uploaded to the site. After that I put the subtitles and the links at the end of the video. And then later in the day I update this topic and the one on kongregate with the new link to the video.

Also again, I’d like to thank everyone that gave feedback I’ll be sure to keep on listening to everyone’s comments.

I think they are very well done. I've to commend that you learn things really fast. Did you start picking up stencylworks since it launched 2 weeks ago? If so, that's pretty incredible.

One little thing I noticed, while I am viewing a particular topic, I sometimes seem to see the tailend of a previous topic (such as SW Behaviors where it showed collision group upon starting).

This is a very good set of tutorial for beginner users.

A even better but much harder way, I believe, is a set of interactive games that will let the user learn each topic while they are actually playing a game. But that would be lot harder and time consuming to develop.
