It (3DS) arrived.

YEAHHHHHH

First of all, the 3D effect is amazing and once you get used to the sweet spot thing it is incredibly comfortable to adjust to with no ghosting or anything like that. Out of the games I have, I would say all of them are great except for pilotwings resort being a little repetitive and choppy (but it's still fun to play for a short time). The AR games included are superb and fun to play, although with these and taking pictures the camera is really bad: grainy and low res (slightly better than the DSi though). Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase.

I haven't ordered one because I don't have the money yet. I'm hoping I can get the money from the Jan-March competition, but the turnout doesn't look like it will be too good. >;c

Your game looks really impressive, I'm sure even if you released an unfinished demo you would have a good chance at winning.

Doesn't the game have to be complete to qualify? Regardless, I'll probably finish my game if I'm not overwhelmed with all this packing I'm doing. I was mostly talking about the other entries.

I think you have a chance.  I never read over the rules anyway because I never entered.

This is what I get for not keeping track of release dates... Looks like another case of "Your city doesn't count as being within the contiguous 48 states for the purposes of shipping" thing to me, as the stores around here just have the display boxes and no actual hardware.  Enjoy.

The only problem is even if all the good games are released in the summer, it will still be a while before orders will be available. I got a Wii because my dad was lucky enough to see a delivery truck outside of GameStop while he was picking up groceries. That was in July 2007, eight months after its initial release.

I really want a 3DS since I don't have a DS, I could play DS games onto it...  Though, one problem with that being that DS games don't look as good on the 3DS as they originally did on the DS.  Though, 3DS games look simply amazing..  I wouldn't mind playing Ocarina of Time 3D, they have many surprises in that to make it better than the original...  It also comes with master quest as well...

I have the money, but I don't want to spend since I have to pay tons of taxes and bills...  I want to get one of my gaming companies to send me one but not sure if that will happen...

You can actually adjust the screen settings to get DS games looking great on the 3DS.

You can opt out of the pixel resizing by holding down the select (I think) button when launching the DS game.

My DS is pretty old, but I'm waiting for more of the kinds of games I enjoy to come out for it before I purchase this. Given that I have a pretty big DS library, though, I'll be getting this sometime this year.
