When i say dude i mean 'that person'. Like when you say 'that guy' you can refer to a woman. It's less common... BUT IT'S HOW I SPEAK, PROBLEM? ;)

Bad example, you never say that guy and refer to a woman. Say you're speaking to a group of people, and you say 'right guys' or 'right dudes'

Impressive visual style on that game. Congratulation on the effort to bring MCGA 320x200 back =)

Just added four new screens on the front page!

At this point, I'd say the art is 90% finished, the systems are about 90% finished, and that the level design is about 50% finished. I've got a lot else that I've been busy with but I'm hoping I can reach Alpha stage soon!

The character design look quite a bit like Gyossait to me

EDIT: oh, you posted a spriting tutorial made by the guy that made this game, so it's not a coincidence :P

It do seems you put quite a bit of work into this game, pretty promising.

I think Amon26 and I both have common reasons for that choice. xD

Choosing a solid white character in a game with a lot of dark environments really helps to distinguish the character from the environment, which just makes everything bold and clear to the player.

Actually, in the concept sketches, the main character for this game was more gray... but white ended up looking better.

Well hey!  At first i saw this and went "you stealing sonava--" but the more I look at this the more I'm just curious to see where you go with this!! there's a TON of awesome detail in this!!  I want to see where this goes, and even if you've taken a page from the same place I found Gyossait.

Show us something creepy and good!!

Oh, don't worry! There's plenty different about this game in terms of its mechanics compared to Gyossait! xD

You were a big inspiration to me in terms of the visual style of this game. Before playing Gyossait, I had never seen pixel art with such a dark and gritty style as yours.

:) I'm very flattered,

I shared this with some of my close friends/co-conspirators.  They were a little on the fence at first but I told them to keep their hopes high.  Hell, I drew inspiration from Slenderman, Soldat, and Mondo Medicals.  It's not about where you get your ideas, but where you take them to.  Good luck!

At long last, I have a playable demo that goes for about half the length of what the full game will soon be! Please try it out and offer feedback! :D

Really subtle artwork and an atmospheric setting. Dig the grunge look. Looking forward to the final version ... thumbs up so far!

:O Holy cow
Man, this game should be on steam or something;) The atmosphere is great, already had some jumpy moments. the animations run well, and the game doesn't lag at all, it's polished amazingly, well done:O

Sorry for the double post, but can I get some extra feedback from anybody else?

I really need to figure out the things I'm doing right and the things I need to improve upon atm.

I enjoyed the demo!

The only gripes I had were :
-The respawn times when you died close to the respawn machine.
-(Without the sword) The spiders on the platforms where you had to fall down on. At times it became more of a luck-based obstacle, especially that first drop where you couldn't see the ground you're landing on.

Will keep an eye out for this.  ;)
