Stencyl Help Chat?

Hello,
I am just wondering if there is any type of designated "Stencyl Help Chat" anywhere. There is a chat on this site itself, but even in the description, it says that it's for just chatting and perhaps a "quick" question... not really an actual "help" chat. So, does one exist? If not, would anyone like to create one with me? In the "Answer a Question" section, I see that there are several of us who form the primary support for Stencyl anyways, so why not join up to make a chat (if one doesn't exist).
Don't look to me but rather to the One who is the reason for what I do. :)

If you need help, send me a PM. Even if I haven't been on in the forums in ages, I still receive those messages via email notifications. You can also reply to any of my forum posts, regardless of the age (especially if I created it), and I will likely reply.

If you want to see the programming behind certain types of games, feel free to check out my "Demo-" games on StencylForge (http://community.stencyl.com/index.php/topic,16160.0.html)

You're free to join the regular IRC channel and answer questions. The reason we don't have an official support channel is because there's no way to guarantee that a question's going to be answered or even seen. People often join, ask a question and leave while nobody's looking. The same thing happened when we did have an official support channel a little after launch.

Is it just me or is the IRC link in the chat page broken?

You need to open it with an IRC client.

Why dont stencyl make something like a tagwall, where you could easy chat with others, and maybe get easy answer on questions ?
If it is possible, then i have experience in making such tagwalls, so if you need help, i think i can help with it. It would be a good upgrade to the website as i see it.
Because the normal chat on the site, is like dead all the time. :)

That's a good idea, but I'd also like for chat to be integrated into Stencyl itself.

Ironically, at one point chat was integrated into Stencyl and it was not used by nearly anyone, IIRC.

As I mentioned elsewhere here yesterday, the USA is mostly "AFK" for a holiday weekend.

I'd use it. :( I think it would be a nice luxury, at the very least.

I also think a chat could give more communication between developers, they can easy ask other about any help, instead of using the forum and have to wait for a reply :)

People have to be available to chat in realtime, which is why the forums are so much more efficient and the IRC channel is so frequently silent. Would you want to be interrupted while trying to focus on a project? Most developers just leave integrated chat off (and remember, there was a point where it was available so this isn't speculation) so they can get work done.

But couldn't a person who didn't want to chat just turn off the chat when they turn on stencyl, and then turn it on whenever they want?

Of course, I don't have any experience with it like you do, and you do type from experience, giving you more merit than me.
