Reducing your SWF file

I just finished my game, but it's to big for an upload or a sponsorship. Is there away on stencyl to reduce the games size if so how. And if not are there any free SWF compressors out there that I can use. Thanks

Generally, pictures and music cause the most size problems. If you have a lot of sounds, get a sound program (like Audacity, which is free) and change the recording rate to be a lower amount. Not many can hear the difference between 44.1 and 22.05 or even 11.025 (which can cut your size down in half or fourth for the sound piece). If pictures are the issue, try to open the pictures in a program like Paint.NET (another free program) that will auto-detect the minimum needed space required to save the picture.

MP3s in Stencyl must be 44.1kHz, but you can lower the quality in Audacity as well.

I have already been wondering about size constraints. My game is looking to be rather large...

What is the maximum size that can be uploaded to this site anyway?
Do NOT PM me your questions, because I likely will not respond. If I have replied to your question on the forum, keep using that topic. Thanks!

Rob, no they don't. I've created quite a few games (including Not By Sight) that are factors of the 44.1 kHz. 22.05, 11.025, and I think 5.5125 are all plausible recording rates.
