Question for other musicians

I'm always curious about how other people's creative processes work.
How long, on average, would you say it takes you to produce a minute of music (in your chosen style)?
I mean including writing, sequencing, recording, programming & automation, mixing, effects, etc. The whole works, from start to finish, for an average minute of your music.

Maybe an hour? Depends on a ton of stuff, and I can't say I've ever counted how long it took, though I should.

I'm not sure if I can give an average, because it always varies so much. Somtimes it can take a couple hours, and other times it can take days. It depends on how creative I'm feeling and how complex what I'm writing is.

It really does depend how much effort you want to put in. And what you're working on too. If it's a classical piece, it may take longer to set up properly than a chiptune work or an ambient drone piece. I've spent anytime between an hour or two to three days working on something on and off, and it's hard to tell whether the time spent has actually improved the song haha.
I personally rarely ever write or compose before sitting down and just putting notes on. It's more of a dirty finger-painting thing for me, rather than meticulous planning before even starting the sequencing. Which makes things easier but reduces the quality of the final work for sure.

I can do quick dirty work for about an hour a minute. Usually it's more like 6 to 10 hours (one day) a minute. I'm talking about the full monty as you asked. Although this Fanfarre I'm working on right now has been on my DAW for the last couple of months and has certainly seen more than 10 hours. It's not even a minute long and it's also not ready. I guess that, as with most things, the more proficient you are, the faster you can turn out good results.
I'm usually an
80-20 rule
person, except when it comes to music. Sometimes I can do it, but mostly I just loose track of the time and obsess about some tiny detail for hours.

I've made nearly four to five minutes of music in one hour. However, that's for one-hour competitions in which you construct a piece of music in one hour (and personally, I myself make my musical stuff more for the games). In my case, it varies quite widely, as I myself can vary from really concentrated to... well, the exact opposite. Usually 15-30 minutes at the minimum.
Take note that I only use Schism Tracker to produce my music... there is no other fancy software involved.

You only use a tracker? That's pretty cool, very few people do only trackers anymore. Sometimes I'll leave Dangerous Dungeons open on some level to listen to the theme

The biggest convenience that I have ever gotten from Schism Tracker is the ability to produce music quite fast when needed. ^_^
