Soulless

Seven weeks in and my port of my 2008 game Soulless is coming along quite well in Stencyl.
This is just a sneak peak and only has two three playable missions so far. Hopefully I'll have the port finished and up on app stores by early next year.
The file size is already fairly big so if you have limited bandwith or a slow connection check out the video instead over at Vimeo or YouTube.
Thanks for stopping by.

Thank you gatostao! :)
Hopefully a standalone app of it will be less resourceful and run better. Fingers crossed.

Coming on nicely, but also runs fairly slow for me, but once 3.0 comes out, you might see performance jump up a nice amount.

True, Stencyl 3 could boost its performance. Will be interesting to see.

Yeah, im pretty sure it will, with a little tweaking and stuff it should have a nice improvement in performance. As other beta users have seen like I have, there is a nice bump in speed from 2.2 to 3.0.. so be interesting to see how much. :)

Lookin' good. If jumping is a big thing in this game though, can you change the jump control to the up key? thanks :P
The climbing the ladder animation looks a little odd, runs slow for me, but great game, looks really professional!

I really can't wait for Stencyl 3 now. It'll be really cool to see the difference.

Yeah, I'll probably just avoid ladders in future games or at least until I figure out a more natural way to animate climbing. Pushing up isn't a bad suggestion, but then you won't be able to aim-up. Something that will be needed later in the game.

You could have aiming controlled by mouse movement
You don't need a separate arm actor, just an up aiming, down aiming and forward aiming animation and when the mouse reaches the correct angle switch to that animation.

Thank you for the suggestion. If it becomes a popular demand I may have to visit such an option. Although personally I've always been more of a fan of all keys excluding FPS & RTS games of course.
