I'll update this topic with info as I further develop the game.
It'll be a platform game and will be out when it's done.

Progress have been a bit slow, but I already completed the grass tile and got some ambient sounds to complement the game. The game will have various "rooms", which are parts of the level. (like in Knytt, Jet Set Willy or VVVVVV)
Here's a WIP progress pic:

The tiles look really blurry and uses about 77 different colors. They don't fit in with the simple backgrounds.

I liked the textured look of it, I just don't think it needed so many colors.
Here's what the previous tiles looked like dropped down to 4 colors if it helps:

EDIT: Then again, the simpler version of the tiles really does fit in well with the scenery...

I like the two color, but it does need some additional shape, not just the solid line. Maybe make it a simple wavy line where the light green (grass?) meets the darker green.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I like your three color version, Blob, but I decided to use a tile sheet that fits better with the scenery.
I liked Hectate grass idea so I redone the top tiles. Not sure if I should also do it for the sides.

The tiles seem to blend into the lighter part of the background. You should make the colour difference larger.

Ok, now there shouldn't exist color bending problems with the background. Also, as it can be seen on the screenshot I changed the montains to a cloud, since the first part of the game happens on the sky so the clouds make it evident.
