"Game Attribute" type option doesn't show when creating a new attribute

In Stencyl 2 I used to create attributes of "game attribute" type inside a behavior. Now this doesn't seem possible in Stencyl 3, because in the drop-down menu of the attribute type, which appears when creating a new attribute, there is no "game attribute" type listed. Why?
When opening in Stencyl 3 my old game developed in Stencyl 2 I got all the attributes correctly ported, "game attribute" types as well, so I don't understand why it is not possible to create new ones...
Sorry if this has been already answered, but I was searching without success.
Thanks!

I believe this was removed a while back but I can't remember why.

:o Is that true? Why?  :'( I'm quite disappointed, because that was a very useful thing. Yet the question remains: why the ones created in Stencyl 2 are still perfectly working in Stencyl 3, but it is not possible to create new ones?
And another question: how to obviate to this lack? Is there a workaround?

You can still create them, but I believe you are required to go into Game Settings to do so. I don't immediately recall the reasoning behind the change but I'm pretty certain there was a logical need for it...

I'm not referring to creating game attributes, but to creating normal attributes (inside behaviors and events) of "game attribute" type. I attach a screenshot (1) to show what I'm talking about. As you can see, in the drop-down list there is no "game attribute" type, whereas in Stencyl 2 it was present (even if the interface was different). On the right panel, where all the attributes of the behavior are listed, you can see that some of them are of "game attribute" type, but they where just inherited from Stencyl 2. In "screenshot(2)" I took a screenshot of the equivalent attribute creation panel in Stencyl 2, where you can see that the "game attribute" type is present.

Thanks captain! It seems that it was going on the same way there too. :D
But unfortunately it ended up with no clear answer about why that was removed, and if it can be brought back. I obviously say: if there is no much work involved, please bring it back!! :)

Mike brought it back (indirectly via text attribute dropdown, see the other topic.)
