What size should I make my game if I want it to work on both iPhone and iPad? I know the screen resolutions for both, but want to make them universal. Thanks in advance!

to be on the save side stay within the 50mb limit for cellular networks. for apps there is a 2gb limit as far as i know.

Thanks for that, but I was thinking about the dimensions of the game.
I will bear that in mind though!

I recommend designing the game in Stencyl at 480x320 and make graphics at 4 times that (1920x1280). When Stencyl 3.0 comes out, you will be able to import at 4x resolution to support the Retina iPads.

Thankyou :)
Will Stencyl automatically resize it when exporting for iPads?

Yep, in Stencyl 2.2, you have a stretch to fit option for the iPad. Stencyl 3 adds 3 more options to fit the iPad as well.

Thanks :)

Do we have to do anything extra for the iPhone 5?
And I'm assuming the iPad mini will also be automatically supported too.

Sorry to chip in here, but a quick question if I may:

"I recommend designing the game in Stencyl at 480x320 and make graphics at 4 times that (1920x1280)"

First part of that, fine. The second part confuses me - does it mean, for example, that I should use a canvas of 1920x1280 in photoshop (that represents the 480x320) and create associated sprites that fit/look good etc?

I don't know why but I've struggled to grasp the iOS graphic element. I've read the tutorials and seen the "import at 2x" stuff but it still perplexes me :/

If you could perhaps write/point to an example I'd be very grateful.

We should make the project at iPhone size, so it will fit the iPhone, but design the graphics at iPad retina size. Stencyl will automatically scale the graphics down to suit all devices with the same aspect ratio.

Does that help?

Yeah, that's what I thought Badger :)

I just struggle to envision pixel gfx working at that size...!

Hi everyone! Im having some issues regarding the game's size. When I try to upload it to Ad Hoc via Stencyl it warns me its over 20MB but when I archive it in XCode it tells me its just 14MB. Now when I run it in my iPhone 4s I get an odd 100MB - 150MB or RAM usage. Someone knows whats going on? 100MB of RAM is really high, other games take up to 20MB or even less...
