You can also rent physical copies of the movies for (If I remember) one dollar a night.

Hrmm... I wonder what kind of caps are on a T1 and T3 service line? I think I would like one of those.

I dunno about these caps. I really think that the internet is still in its infancy and that It is only going continue to exponentially grow. With that said, If caps start to be imposed now, I highly doubt they'd stick around very long.

You know, with all these caps, countries censoring the internet, Pennsylvania trying to cut educational funding, you name it - I really think our future will turn out to be like that of "The Giver" Everyone will see in Black and White, there will be no books, no poverty, no crime, etc. We will all just live completely boring lives.

@ winzen - Actually I pay 14.95 per month, I can take 2 dvds out at a time for as long as i want plus the streaming capability.  Typically if I put a dvd in the mail today, in two days I will have my new ones.

Redbox and BBE are $1 per night rentals.

Technically, they're a company whose business is providing movies and TV shows to their customers. They originally started with mailing DVDs to their customers, but have recently been pushing much harder toward the streaming options - no doubt because it's cheaper for them and more convenient for their customers.

They have two albums and one EP. Amazing stuff actually, and that's coming from someone who doesn't really enjoy rap. I'm a folk rock kind of dude.

Holy crap!

I just discovered Effects in GraphicsGale.

Won't do everything for me, but it'll make certain things a hell of a lot easier for me.  Like making a believable grass tile.
Current Projects:
Battle Lines Zero: The Sargonian Wars (Status: Engine-building)(Genre: Tactical RPG or Turn Based Tactics)
Project "PARTS" (Status: Early spriting/engine-building)(Genre: Real-time strategy)

Me discovering effects in GraphicsGale lead to me making the blurriest RPG tileset ever. I was under the mindset that the blurrier it was the more realistic it was, don't make the same mistake.

EDIT: also, nice to see you again, Chess.

Good to see you again too!  Basically, I'm trying to create a sprite set for a turn-based strategy game, and I was having a lot of trouble with the "basic land" tile until I discovered the Noise effect.  The whole process has been a learning experience; for one thing, now I know why Advance Wars' Blue units are so bright.  I've had to redo several palettes because the units were just too hard to look at.

Right now I'm focusing more on making different unit types easy to tell apart than anything (i.e. Special Forces infantry have black helmets, etc.)  I'll create a topic in Announce Your Game either when I have the sprites closer to completion or when I have something semi-playable in Stencyl.

Ah yes, among the most useful tools for interesting textures is noise filters and their related variants. Used properly (usually as base layer or some sort of subtle randomizing) they can add a lot of variance to an otherwise lifeless and sterile image.

Not so great for pixel art, where fine control is needed over every single point, but handy in larger forms of computer graphics.
