Stencl 3.0 haxe and RPGs

I love haxe, I love RPGs, and stencyl is shaping up (took a few years though).

I've been out of the loop for quite awhile as I've been busy with life and actually haven't touched my PC for quite awhile other than check my facebook or google+ status.

I am aware of basic dialog and rpg events being already available as an example but from what I remember how stencyl handles events/blocks with objects it makes creating rpgs overly difficult, creating a similar system in haxe is actually easier! I mean just going up to an NPC and following the dialogs that is (creating a FULL rpg is difficult regardless of platform or engine).

With 3.0 coming up and haxe, do you think stencyl will be ready for RPGs?  I actually want to try some of my 3D stuff that I've written in haxe (cloned final fantasy 6's world map ala mode7).

In my opinion stencyl has come along way and still has along way to come.

I'd give it maybe 1-2 more years before its ready for RPGs and serious games.

What is a serious game?

Like an actual release of a game. someting that would get on steam and make money as a desktop builds.

In its current state most games developed with stencyl are either flash or mobile builds

If I felt motivated enough to make an RPG with Stencyl, I could... it's just a lot of work. There might be some extra workarounds needed over other development tools, but overall, RPGs is just another type of game. It just takes a good amount of attributes ;).
Don't look to me but rather to the One who is the reason for what I do. :)

If you need help, send me a PM. Even if I haven't been on in the forums in ages, I still receive those messages via email notifications. You can also reply to any of my forum posts, regardless of the age (especially if I created it), and I will likely reply.

If you want to see the programming behind certain types of games, feel free to check out my "Demo-" games on StencylForge (http://community.stencyl.com/index.php/topic,16160.0.html)

So, all the games made with Stencyl weren't actually released and are just jokes? Even those that made a profit for their creators?

Why does Stencyl need one or two years to be ready to create RPGs? What about six or nine months? It probably isn't the easiest tool around to specifically make a RPG, but "serious" users can still make one.
