sprite editor question

i was wandering if it is possable to put a .gif into  the sprite editor rather then doing it frame by frame for like longer animations or if im lazy

No it can't be done. You can only import .png images. Sorry.

You can import .gifs and .jpg into the actor image, I don't know about Pencyl though.

Actually, I think Stencyl accepts other graphic formats; it just converts them to .png once its imported and saved.

Yeah, that is my understanding as well, everything is converted to png.

oh sorry i did mean as an actor image i guess i thought the part you put  images into was the editer so yeah how do i use  a .gif file for the actor image

You can click the editor and import it or you can drag and drop right into Stencyl, I believe.
