Pixel artist offering some free work

I am an independant pixel artist offering my time for free as at the moment I do not have much of a portfolio and I would like to build one up. As this is for free, I wouldn't want massive jobs and if it is a profit game perhaps a percentage profit.

I have been using Stencyl (without an account) for well over a year and I have been making pixel art for as long. However, due to lack of inspiration I do not actually have any finished work to show.

I will consider all offers given. To contact me, PM me.

Please note that I have other things so I may take longer than the average pixel artist.

Kind regards, Letmethink

Here is a quick tileset I made:

Nothing? At all? And you expect us to take your offer seriously?

Its a risk for you I admit, but you lose nothing from enquiring.

But think about it: why would I inquire if I have absolutely no evidence you can deliver?

The thing is, I don't have any finished polished things to actually show, I have many unfinished things, but nothing that I would be happy to show off that actually represents my current level.

If you have experience, then post your art.  Otherwise, most people will assume you have no experience.  If your experience is entirely based on unfinished work, then you really don't have much experience.

I posted a tileset that I did for my own project. Although it isn't much it was quick and it shows something at least.

Oh and, I don't mind if you don't enquire, it would only be your loss.

You should not be rude. I mean jeez, do you know how many people come around with post like yours? They show up daily and either do the same thing you did (no proof of work) or post junk and think it is worthy of selling.

Though I admit your pixel art is pretty good you should have shown it in the first place. Building a good reputation is one of the best things you could do to become a reputable bidness man.

I do not argue, because I just join the forum and this would not be the best way to let me know, but I think a selfless offering, as it does LETMETHINK only deserves respect. Anyone concerned will accept the offer, it may be my case, but I don't think you have to reject it on behalf of the whole community. I think that he is a person with enthusiasm and that, many times, is the most important thing to develop group work.

That said, I send him a PM and will tell you if we find opportunities to cooperate or not.

Good vibes and apologies for my limited english.
I work and have worked in many things in my life, but none have been by vocation. Until now.

I'm not attempting to reject his offer on behalf of the community. But if someone is going to offer their services on a forum like this one, its common practice to show one's experience in their field.

If he wants to put himself out there, that's fine. But do the legwork and prove your skill level (which he has done to some extent now). It works out better that way for both sides.

Ok.

Now I agree.

Best regards.

He started off great making me a character, but then quit responding after a few days. Would not recommend.
