[SOLVED] How to link between different "screens"?

I'm making a platformer where you have to go around different rooms collecting things. How do I make it so that you can go off screen and reappear in the equivalent position in the next room? This is like the different screens in I Wanna Be The Guy, for example.

I think you would just save the y position, and x and y velocity of your actor in game attributes, then set them again when the next scene is created.

That sounds good. I assume it would work for vertical changes if I save the x position instead?

Yep!

Unless you really want to mess with the players heads and set their new Y value to their old X value and vice versa. But that's just being mean and not actually a useful game design element. :)

Sweet. I'll post again after I put it in place. Thanks for the replies :)
