I'm using 3.3.2 and it works pretty well for me.  Two people (me and one other guy) are having crashing issues on Android phones with it, unless we disable window frames or modify the code.  Aside from that, it works very well. 

Nobody else seems to have the Android crashing issue so it's kinda on the back-burner for getting fixed.  It must be something we have setup wrong or some quirk with something else on our phones.  I use a Galaxy S5 so I am pretty sure there are many, many others out there playing games that use the Dialog Extension without any issue.

Hello! I'm working on a game using the "Run and Gun" example kit and I was wondering if it was possible to implement this  extension in the game. Like, I'd like my character to run up to an actor and press "spacebar" and have them talk to them. Is it possible?

I have been having crash issues (occasionally) with Dialog on Cppia (but not Flash) ... don't know about desktop since it takes about 20 minutes to compile my game that way, so I've been using Cppia for weeks now. (and loving it).

I am having trouble re opening dialog within a scene.  At first, it opens and explains what is about to happen.  When the user completes the level, I want to call a new dialog script and congratulate the user.  When I try to reopen the dialog boxes, it crashes on iOS and Android.

I am using build 8582 and its compatible version of the extension.

If I upgrade both to the newest nightly build, does anybody know if there are any issues presently?

Hmm. I'm not seeing that behavior in my script.  I have one that ends and then triggers an on-screen event (an actor moving) and then the next dialogue begins. 

The latest version of the Dialog Extension (files dated 9/7) didn't have my fix for the crashing (or any other changes to dialogwindow.hx) so the problem we're having is still not resolved officially.

I reported this in the issue tracker, but I'm impatient (and can't work on my game until this is fixed) so I'll ask here, too - a recent buggy Stencyl build failed to recognize the data structures extension and removed all the data structure manipulation blocks from my game. Silently.

The dialog extension is now missing from my dashboard. Dialog blocks still show up in the palette and in the game, but I can't edit dialogs, obviously.

I just reinstalled both extensions but my dashboard looks like in the attached file.

How do I fix this?

OK then - where can I find a version of the Data Structures extension that works with the last stable release? (8678)

I'm at the point where I can't get any work done. I'm not too happy about that.

I have a version of the extension that's really close to working with the current version of Stencyl, but I want to be sure that it won't cause you any data loss or errors because of some significant changes. I'll try to have everything finished by the end of the day.

How do you change the keys that are used to skip the text? I cant seem to change it because the current keys collide with other parts of my game.

Id suggest checking out the indiestations  videos.  He was a tutorial for using this.
