Any grid spacing in Pencyl?

I want to use pixel art for my game, but I can't seem to align it correctly. I looked through most of the tools I could find on Pencyl, but nothing seemed to work right. Any suggestions? 
EDIT: I thought I might add that Grid Spacing should help me align it correctly (for those who might not know what it does), and that I can't seem to adjust the size of the Pencil.
