Platform Shooter Prototype

Hey,
I am working on a platform shooter at the moment and I have a first playable prototype. It is just a test level with 3 enemy types with some kind of AI. Here you can test it:

Control:
Arrow Keys: Move/Jump
Y or Z: Grenade (german <-> us keyboard)
X: Shoot

What do you think so far? Is the control smooth?

Bullets. But I think it's more realistic when you can't see them.

With the current weapons I'd probably run around and throw grenades all the time.  The gun seems too weak, even with the range advantage.
